For Marinating Paneer (Cheese):

  • 250g paneer cubes
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions:

1.For Marinating Paneer:

  • In a bowl, mix cornstarch, red chili powder, black pepper powder, salt, and soy sauce.
  • Add paneer cubes and gently toss them until coated. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.

2. Frying Paneer:

Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated paneer cubes until they turn golden brown. Set them aside.

3. Preparing the Sauce:

  • In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed.
  • Add finely chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until onions turn translucent.

4. Adding Sauce:

Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

5. Creating the Sauce:

  • Pour in water and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add the cornstarch-water mixture to thicken the sauce.
  • Stir continuously until the sauce thickens.

6. Combining Paneer:

Add the fried paneer cubes and bell pepper slices. Toss them in the sauce until well-coated

7. Garnishing:

Garnish with chopped spring onions.
